GDRP (General Data Protection Regulation) is a regulation that comes into effect on 25th May 2018 and affects all businesses that deal with residents of the European Union.
This includes:
- Businesses that have offices or locations in the EU
- Businesses that sell products or services to locations in the EU
- Businesses that sell products or services to residents of the EU that live outside the EU
?Any business found not sticking to the rules could be charged fines of up to €20 million or 4% of the company's global annual turnover, though the toughest fines will be reserved for the worst data breaches or data abuse.

One of the most common questions we get asked when building an ecommerce site is whether they should use Paypal or Credit Card as the payment gateway for their website.
When setting up a credit card payment gateway, you first need a merchant account with your bank as this then allows you to accept credit card payments and have them deposited into your bank account. You also need a payment gateway such as Egateway, SecurePay or Eway to then accept the credit card payments on your site.

Did you know that up to 85% of all Websites are found after a search engine request?
Search engine rankings make the difference between a highly successful site and an unprofitable one. Statistics show that around 80% of people will visit a site that is ranked number one whereas that figure drops to around 60% for a number two ranking. If a site does not appear in the top ten then that percentage drops down to below 5%.
